On May 10th and 11th,
Budapest
 hosts the European final of one of the world’s most prestigious
chef competitions
. Gourmets around the world cheer for talented chefs coming from 24 different countries to attend the competition at Hungexpo in Budapest, but this is not the only place where you can follow the tasteful contest while showing your support.
The
Bocuse d’Or Cheering

Center
at
Belvárosi Piac on Hold Street
is free for anyone to visit; here we can follow the event via a live big-screen broadcast, while a variety of fun programs entertain visitors from noon through midnight, including a community farmers’ market, a Hungarian gastro-photography exhibition, live music, and drinks.




The restaurants located inside the marketplace await with exciting culinaty delights, like Russian pelmeni, pastrami, Hungarian 
lángos
specialties
,
 steaks, sausages, sizable fried meats, grilled seafood specialties, cakes, and much more.




The live broadcast of the competition lasts until 5pm on both days, and it’s followed by Belvárosi Cigányzenekar’s concert, while a DJ provides good sounds all night long. On May 11th, the
Bocuse d’Or

after party
is held at the market hall, where anyone can toast with the contestants, relax, and savor tasteful treats.
