This autumn, the gates of Wekerle open once again: on 13 September the neighbourhood hosts the 21st Wekerle Garage Sale Festival, inviting visitors to browse at leisure, chat with locals and uncover hidden treasures. Children’s clothes, toys, books, household items, retro finds, bikes, furniture and collector’s pieces — everything that once mattered to someone is now looking for a new home. And it’s not only about the stalls: cosy picnic spots with blankets, raspberry cordial and lángos stands, plus children’s activities and colouring tables, all add to the relaxed, community feel.
