Explore the 121-year history of Budapest’s deluxe Corinthia Hotel

You may have already seen the iconic edifice of the Corinthia Hotel while traveling on tram 4-6, one of the busiest lines of Budapest. This beautiful building guards a history stretching back 121 years, so we paid a visit to explore its past and present, browsing through old photographs. For example, we learned that the building has always housed a hotel, which is a business that goes hand-in-hand with hospitality: for several years, the Gundel family owned a restaurant lined with palm trees here.
