The small yet surprisingly cozy store is hidden beside the Hungarian State Opera House, almost on Andrássy Avenue. This is where Dóri and her team keeps busy, and does everything so that visiting ladies feel the quality difference between simple service and expert hospitality. Thus, a glass of champagne might slide down during a lengthy dress-trying session, and customers have a chance to talk about their style, the upcoming occasion for which they are buying a dress, or the shoes they want to wear with Dóri over a coffee. The young designer believes that personal consultation is very important for someone to move confidently in their chosen piece. Therefore, it is no coincidence that the words “buyer” and “customer” are missing form Dóri’s vocabulary. H.R.V.T. has guests only.

Dóri always stood out with her eccentric clothing style, as she did not feel comfortable in crude, overly conformist clothes. The sewing machine was her best friend, and although she mostly just remodeled certain pieces, her wardrobe was soon filled with her own works. She received lots of positive feedback, as friends and acquaintances kept inquiring about the release date of her “new collection” – even though she did not have any plans of the sort. This is what happens when a profession finds the individual, and not vice versa. There were some pop-up projects, and in the early summer of 2015, the H.R.V.T. showroom and boutique officially opened at one of the most atmospheric neighborhoods of the city.

Sleekness, classic lines, and good combinability are typical of the brand, but the designer is not afraid of vibrant colors or feminine frills when it comes to a summer collection, either. We did not see so many pretty girls in half-shoulder frilly little dresses and tunics this summer in Budapest by chance, since that was typical of the spring/summer models. It is important to mention that these clothes are free of all extremes, and seek to highlight delicacy and femininity, with special shoulder and back cuts, plaits, yokes, and waist belts. We will not find any close-fitting, low-cut pieces here. The clothes of H.R.V.T. are often one-size models, which allows them to look different on every shape and height. It is a fun game, and all ladies can feel good about not having to question the fit of certain pieces – there is no such thing as a droopy or tight dress here, since the models are universal. Dóri believes that the maximum can be brought out of all body shapes, and she is happy to help guests find the cuts most suitable for their shape. She will not convince us to buy something that does not fit us, either – she will dissuade us from ill-fitting pieces, and encourage us to try on things we would not dare to wear otherwise. We recommend heeding her advice. The main palette of the fall/winter collection of H.R.V.T. consists of the colors black, grey, white, and powder, but we can find some vibrant blue, orange and yellow hues here and there, too. The collection features some more wintery fabrics like tweed, and pretty fur apparel, as well.
It is important to mention that the prices of H.R.V.T. clothes does not differ much from most fast-fashion stores, so this luxury of hospitality and unique pieces is undeniably accessible.
