The building of Lehel market hall was built on the site of the former open marketplace which served District XIII. In addition to abundant fresh fruit and vegetables, you can buy herbs and one of the best lángos in Budapest, everyone's favourite fried-dough snack. You'll find small-batch producers selling everything from lemongrass to mint and honey in the lower mid-section of the hall. The upper storey is somewhat messier, stocking a wide variety of goods from pet food to household accessories-.
