The design markets on the
Erzsébet Square
promenade have been an indispensible part of downtown in spring and summer for almost a decade now.
The all day long entertainment that “wamping” provides makes this market the perfect free time activity that is not only about buying things, but also about collecting new impressions, getting inspired and getting to talk to the designers.
WAMP
is a bustling scene with a monthly updated product selection where all items, including lcothes, accessories, toys, home décor pieces or top-quality food, are designed, and sometimes even hand-made, by the vendours.
For a lot of people WAMP is not a simple
design market
that now has a successful Vienna venue as well, but also an important place for bringing designers together in an organized fashion. WAMP was the first of its kind at the time of its inception, and to this day it’s the only free event in Budapest with a wide range of select products. The May event has an unprecedented number of new attractions in store.
