Scheduled to take place on 1 May, the Big Race will kick off with an amazing
airplane show
, followed by the speedy procession of the entire Touring Car Championship team on the embankments, just before their
Hungaroring
race over the weekend. Several champions as well as Hungarian fan favorite
Norbert Michelisz
will be among the drivers.
Várkert Bazaar will serve as the centre of the event, from where the racecar drivers will head toward Lánchíd Street and Clark Ádám Square, crossing Chain Bridge (Lánchíd) twice, and continuing the mad race on Buda’s lower embankment. The 4-km race track will be set up between Chain Bridge and Elizabeth Bridge (Erzsébet híd).
