The
Taipei Representative Office
and the
Palantír Foundation
are organizing the
Taiwan Dox
- Taiwan Documentary Festival at
Toldi Cinema
between October 29 and 31.

The seven films to be shown during the Taiwan Dox - Taiwan Documentary Festival allow a glimpse into
Taiwan
’s historical, political, social and gender issues. We get a closer picture of the characteristics of Taiwan’s society, the inner world and identity of its people, and the new generation’s attitude toward traditions.

These award-winning works were made between 2000 and 2010, in the peak decade of Taiwan’s documentary production.
The films are shown with
Hungarian and English subtitles
, and a discussion with film experts follows each screening. Within the framework of the film festival, visitors can also attend a food tasting, a photo exhibition (in the form of a musical slideshow), and a DJ will also play Taiwan music on the closing day of
Taiwan Dox
.
