The grand exhibition of the
Museum of Fine Arts
, titled
Rembrandt and the Dutch Golden Age
, presents one of the greatest times and places in European culture’s history, the 17th century in the Netherlands. The exhibition focuses on the era’s greatest artist, Rembrandt, and 20 of his works.

At the exhibition, we can see a total of
178 works by 100 artists
, which the most prominent private collectors and museums – including Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum, Stockholm’s National Museum, New York’s Metropolitan, Los Angeles’s Getty Museum, Paris’s Louvre, London’s National Gallery, Florence’s Uffizi and Madrid’s Prado – lent to the Museum of Fine Arts.

A further sensation of the exhibition is that in addition to the significant number of Rembrandt paintings – including his earliest known painting and last self-portrait – three artworks of
Vermeer
are also exhibited.
