The collaboration between
Péter Závada
 and
Huba Ratkóczi
is one of the rare occasions when contemporary poetry meets psychedelic blues music that they weave together into a shared fabric of sound – so they can take the audience to the deepest corners of their minds, like passengers on a magic carpet. Huba Ratkóczi is an iconic figure of the Hungarian underground music scene (Napokon, Soulbreakers, Seen, ex-Esclin Syndo). His easily recognizable, unique sound is accompanied by an intense stage presence. The originally one-person production often welcomes guests – smuggling some color into the meditative, blues-rooted
psychedelic
music world. Péter Závada writes lyrics since he was 14 and poems since he was 23 years old. His pieces were published by journals like “Élet és Irodalom”, “Jelenkor”, “Műút” and “Alföld”. His first volume, “Ahol megszakad” was published in 2012 and his second, “MÉSZ”, in 2015 by Jelenkor Publisher. He is the member of Akkezdet Phiai and József Attila Circle (a literary association of young writers).
