The
Palace District Festival
begins on July 18 in
Józsefváros
. The event series has been one of the defining,
free
summer multi-arts festivals of the summer capital for five years now. The weekend-long event welcomes visitors with concerts, children’s programs, craft fairs and culinary delights in July, August and September. On July 18 and 19, the festival’s programs will be built around world music and ethno music. On August 15 and 16, poetry and literature will enjoy the limelight, while between September 4 and 6, the event’s focus shifts to gastronomy and beer.
