This year marks the fifth edition of the Hungarian Open Water Swimming Championship, aiming to introduce participants to Hungary’s stunning landscapes through swimming. On 12 July, both amateur and professional swimmers will once again have a unique opportunity: starting from the Postás Beach in Szentendre, they’ll swim across the Danube in a downstream direction. After completing the 5.29-kilometre distance, the hundreds of athletes will reach the shore near the Ebihal snack bar, opposite Lupa Island. The event promises to be a true celebration of swimming, as the current will help even those who simply want to float and enjoy the view reach the finish line in under an hour in the 23°C water.
