One In One: Budapest
is a project around the topic of
national identity
and
identity change
. The special
''apartment theatre''
attempts to adopt or ”steal” national identities, building into the culture and society of different countries.
A
young couple moves to a foreign country
. They have to organize a
new life
from almost nothing adapting to this new situation. Their home is
open to the public
at the end of the stay.





The life of the couple is documented by themselves and can be
followed on the internet
with up-to-date photos, short videos, blog entries.



Budapest Edition
:
Malu is Dutch. David is Italian. They are in love. They''re going to live in a city they know nothing about.
How can they be happy here?
Where and how will they live? Especially with us Hungarians. These are questions you would like to ask on the number 7 bus or to your neighbour, but you don’t.





Now you can.
They will open their house for four days. To anyone, anytime.





„Our house is your house! Our flat will be open non-stop from
8am on the 24th
until
10pm on the 27th of September
. Feel free to stop by at any time and stay as long as you want. Come in, look around, make yourself at home.” You get the adress after purchasing your ticket.

early-bird ticket (until 23th of September) - adults: 1200 HUF; students/senior citizen: 1000 HUF. After it, adults: 1500 HUF; students/senior citizen: 1200 HUF.
