One of the best things about Brooklyn is that they gave us
Obits
. The band is signed to the cultic
Sub Pop
label, the musicians come from bands like Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes and/or Boys Against Girls. And what can we expect from them? Raw, punk-ish rock music, bass guitar grooves, a great atmosphere, and of course, great songs. Before them,
Kemény Henrik
will play Hot Snakes-inspired post-punk/pop-punk music. Come early, and stay all night!
Since the glorious return of Iggy Pop And The Stooges (with their new album, Ready To Die), we know that punk-rock music is like wine: the older (people play it), the better. And if old people like Rick Froberg (Hot Snakes, Drive Like Jehu, Pitchfork, etc.) or Alexis Fleisig (Girls Against Boys, Soulside, Bellini, Paramount Styles, etc.) play it, we can be sure, that we will have a great time. Obits returns after three years - the last time they played in Budapest and Szeged (where they had to return to the stage three times, because of the crowd didn''t let them go), and they are here to show everybody, how punk-rock is done. And Kemény Henrik is a great addictio to the line-up: tha band''s members have grown-up listening to Obits and Hot Snakes, but they are much better than a tribute band. They are like the awesome hungarian band, Fuseism: early Hüsker Dü mixed with the bands of the Revolution Summer. So, you have no reason to miss this night!
