The “
new wave
” group has proved many times to Hungarian concert audiences that France doesn’t only export cheeses, wines, and party-hungry festival fugitives, but also bloody awesome bands.
When it all started, the producers of the band had no idea they would create a new style. Nouvelle Vague has given the bossa nova treatment to the songs of such classics as
Billy Idol, The Clash, Joy Division or even the Dead Kennedys
, which catapulted them into the musical elite of the world. The idea worked and it has been working to this day, as the band continues to play gigs with the top players of the international music scene.
Characterized by an ever-changing line-up, the supergroup will take over the NagyHall of
Akvárium Klub
on 6 December 2014 to transform it into something reminiscent of the smoky rooms of French cafés.
