Not much time has passed since the last gig of
Kéknyúl
Trio at Kocka, but the organizers didn’t have a hard time at all deciding who to invite to give a live performance on New Year’s Eve. Chef
Gábor Fehér
is also preparing a triple trio for the night, so it is definitely worth arriving by 8 pm.
Kéknyúl Hammond Trio:

Mátyás Premecz: organ

Márk Badics: drums

Zsolt Csókás: guitar

For the Hungarian audience the name of
Mátyás Premecz
has become associated with two things: dynamic groups (e.g. The Qualitons and Barabás Lőrinc Eklektric, and he was even in the band of Jackie Orszáczky on his last Hungarian tour) and a gigantic Hammond organ. He founded
Kéknyúl
to be able to exploit the possibilities of this latter instrument, but the group soon grew into much more than a Hammond demonstration platform. Mátyás’ compositions contain so many colors and so much playfulness that fans from all over the music universe can find something to enjoy in them: no wonder that their gigs attract bike-riding rockers and teenagers in Tisza sneakers, not to mention jazz lovers.
