In the past two years, Anna Szigethy was dealing with the intimacy of the urban environment and personal relation to the changing cityscape. As she mainly worked in Berlin and Budapest, her attention was directed towards housing estates; towards the continued existence of uniform living spaces and lives.
The installation consists of elements created by various media. The photos, blueprints and furniture visualize the space in its physical reality, while the installation also carries symbolic meaning, which reflects not only on a specific neighborhood, but also the feverish housing estate architecture of modernism and the community of its residents; it aims to show all the desires, stories and ideas that may be connected to this architectural space.
