As a multicultural program series introducing Hungarian Jewish culture and the cultural traditions of several other nations, the
Jewish Summer Festival
has become one of the most important and interesting cultural-artistic events. It stirs up layers of society in the last weeks of the summer that show lesser interest in other various cultural events held during the year.

The main location of the internationally renowned Jewish Summer Festival is still the beautiful
Dohány Street Synagogue
. Other locations include the
Uránia Theater
, the
Goldmark Hall
, the
Kárászy Salon
, the
Rumbach Street Synagogue
and the
RaM Colosseum
. There will be a musical this year, as well. Before the first day of the festival, the “Fiddler on the Roof” musical will be playing as the guest performance of Pannon Theatre.

The synagogue is the location for the concert of
Bea Palya
on the 3rd of September, with the Szolnok Symphony Orchestra. This will be followed by the concert of Zorán on the 4th of September; the guests of the concert titled Volt egy tánc are going to be
Péter Gerendás
and
János Kulka
. On the 7th of September, we will be able to see the concert of János Bródy in the Synagogue. The Uránia National Film Theater will house several programs as well.

On the 3rd of September, we will be able to see the evening of
László Dés
,
András Dés
,
Lajos Nagy Parti
and
György Spiró
, the “Pár-beszéd” (“Couple-talk”). Uránia will house an evening titled “A Föld hangjai” (“Voices of the Earth”) by
Eszter Horgas
and
Mariann Falusi
.
