In 2017, Hungary is the host country of this biennial aquatic sports attraction with swimming, diving, high diving, open water swimming, synchronized swimming, and water-polo contests happening in Budapest and Balatonfüred. Locations in the Hungarian capital include the Dagály Aquatics Arena and the Alfréd Hajós Complex on Margaret Island, while temporary pools will be installed near Batthyány Square by the Danube and at Városliget Lake in City Park. The FINA World Championships span July 14-30th, and these events are followed by the FINA World Masters Championships happening between August 7-20th.
