Challenge Day
started in Canada in 1982 when the leaders of two neighbouring towns decided to organize a full-day sports challenge to see which town has more people willing to do at least 15 minutes of exercise from 12am until 9pm.

The sports event has spread to countries all over the world, arriving in Hungary in 1991, with a total of 1590 townships joining the initiative so far. Last year the inhabitants of the participating towns completed a total of 3 million 15-minute training sessions.

The aim of Challenge Day is to promote sports and healthy living.
