The
36th Budapest Spring Festival
awaits visitors with a colorful program, involving various arts and genres, such as classical music, opera, jazz, pop, dance, theatre and visual arts. Performances of the best Hungarian and world-famous artists will make the Spring Festival a truly special occasion, presenting premiers of musical and theatrical productions, as well as co-productions with partner institutions throughout 17 days.
Dozens of venues join the festival in 2016: in addition to the Müpa Budapest and the Hungarian State Opera, the Liszt Academy, the Bálna Budapest, the Vigadó, the Budapest Music Center and other Budapest theatres, cultural institutes and museums will also be home to outstanding events. Realized again in cooperation between the Müpa Budapest, the Budapest Festival and Tourism Centre, and the Hungarian Tourism Inc., the event series continues to broaden its offer by involving the leading cultural institutions of the city.
