The
Budapest Pride March
takes place on July 5 starting at 3pm.

Marchers should gather at the intersection of Kossuth Lajos Square and Alkotmány Street, with the parade beginning at 4pm. Organizers expect thousands will join the walk through Budapest's inner-city streets. Marchers can come with music, flags, colorful floats and balloons.

Walkers are celebrating differences and showing unity. This year's motto is
Budapest Pride 365
- meaning that discrimination against LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) people needs attention all year, not just during special events like the march.

The Pride organization says it's campaigning for equal rights for all people and says it would like to see a society where there's no room for racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic comments.
