The third edition of Budapest GipsyFest will take place between 26 and 28 March at a new venue, the Kristály Színtér on Margaret Island. The three-day festival showcases the diversity of Roma culture, from authentic violin-led folk music to world music, Latin-inspired concerts, and lively party performances. The programme features artists such as Serbia’s Boján Krstic Orkestar, Tárkány Művek, Kossuth Prize-winning Balogh Kálmán and the Gipsy Cimbalom Band, as well as Romengo with Mónika Lakatos. The festival will also include a fashion show, while the evenings will conclude with communal music sessions and dance parties.
