Belau
is a project that
Péter Kedves
started in 2015; since then, it became a trio with
Krisztián Buzás
and
Gergő Matos
, and Böbe Szécsi sings the vocals during live shows. Their aim is to take the listener to an inner journey by summoning places they would like to visit. “Island of Paradise”, their first song features Dóri Hegyi, and it was featured in HBO’s Aranyélet series, it was among the favorites of Deezer Hungary’s editors, Petőfi Radio often played it, and more than 250,000 people listened to it on various platforms. Attila Domokos and Marcell Nagy created a short film for the song, which won at the first Hungarian Klipszemle (a music video competition), and numerous magazines included it in their “best music videos of the year” selections.
With the lead of Tamás Csigó, Beat Dis was founded in Szombathely in June, 2002. They have four successful albums and numerous great music videos. In 2008, they were nominated in the domestic category for “Best Dance or Electro Album of the Year” at the Hungarian Music Awards. Beat Dis continues as a four-member act from the beginning of 2016: Tamás Csigó – guitars, vocals; Zoltán Horváth – bass; Zoltán Rozmán – drums; Gergely Staindl – guitars. Their fifth album will come out this year; and the first song from it, “Toy In Your Hand” featuring Manoya will be played on Petőfi Radio, and they will play it at the EP release party in March.
