Last year they organised a
ten kilometre run
to celebrate the tenth anniversary of
Hungary's
accession to the
European

Union
. This year, on the 11th anniversary of EU membership, they are adding an extra kilometre to the route which takes participants around the most spectacular sights of the capital city, just like in 2014. Besides runners, those who wish to do some sightseeing running are also welcome.

The run starts on Saturday 9 May at 10:00 at the Margit híd (Margaret bridge) side entrance of Margitsziget (Margaret Island). From 9:30 a.m. there will be a joint warmin-up.

The distance of 11 kilometres can only be done individually; there is no relay race option.

Participation is free, however subject to registration. The number of participants is limited to 3000.

Runners finishing the race receive an individual medal and a goodie bag.
The route touches 11 emblematic Budapest sites which have been developed with significant EU contribution:

Margaret Bridge

Bubi bike docking station

Budapest Castle Bazaar

Rudas Spa

Gellért Hill Cave Chapel

Liberty Bridge

Corvinus University Budapest

March 15 Square

Vigadó Concert Hall
