Sneaker Stars is Hungary’s biggest festival for phenomenal footwear, featuring all kinds of world-famous and local shoe brands. Besides the huge displays of Sneaker Stars shoes, plenty of musical programs and exciting extreme sports will also entertain everyone on this special day.
Sneakers are truly stylish today, and they are the main superstars of many Budapest cityscapes; at this new festival a few local and world-famous sneaker brands will be in the spotlight. After all, now that autumn is slowly approaching, sandals and slippers have to go on the back shelf anyway. This new niche-filling festival, Sneaker Stars, is happening on September 3rd at Akvárium Klub, featuring famous exhibitors such as adidas Originals, Nike, Puma, Converse, Le Coq Sportif, and last but not least, the new collections of Asics. Besides the trendy brands, plenty of musical programs and extreme sports will also entertain everyone all day long.
Performances of popular local bands, such as the electro-hip hop-rock band Cloud 9+, Halott Pénz DJ set, hip-hop singer Deniz, and the soul-electo-hip hop band Marge will fill the air, and well-known DJs such as DJ Revolution, DR BRS, DJ O’neil, and DJL will spin the records. Plenty of exciting programs will also entertain, including Kicks & Chicks, a competition during which girls show off their sneakers in front of the judges from the local fashion industry – Hungarian stylist Márk Lakatos, and Magyar model Viki Metzker – for the chance to win a Playersroom gift voucher valued at 150,000 forints, a photo shoot, and a valuable adidas Originals gift package. Furthermore, an amazing half-pipe contest and the performance of a local hip-hop dance school, New Dance World, also awaits guests at Sneaker Stars.
Nonetheless, on this special day everything will be about sneakers; besides the most popular world-famous brands, a few beloved local exhibitors also present their coolest and trendiest sneakers. Guests can stroll around the stands of adidas Originals, Nike, Puma, Converse, Playersroom, Le Coq Sportif, Cayler&Sons, DJINNS, Asics, Saucony, NEFF, Stance, New Era, Dorko, Mitchell&Ness, Playstation, and West Coast Barbers.With a Sneaker Stars entry ticket, this special event can be visited all day long between 10am-8pm. Tickets are available at Playersroom stores, at Akvárium Klub, and on the website of tixa.hu for 1,500 forints, and the total value of the entry ticket will be deducted from purchases made at Playersroom stores around the country.
