Moscow, Istanbul, Rotterdam, Budapest – what connects these four cities is that they are the only places where celebrity chef Jamie Oliver offers his Italian restaurant, or at least plans to do so. We’ll have to wait until next spring for Jamie’s Italian, which will replace Hadik restaurant in the Buda Castle to exclusively serve the British chef’s dishes.
The Zsidai Group – the proprietor of Pierrot,
Spíler, and several other prominent Budapest eateries – will introduce the Jamie’s Italian brand to the Hungarian market. The Buda Castle restaurant will only serve dishes prepared according to Jamie’s own recipes, along with daily specials.
Back in his home country, Jamie Oliver’s restaurants are amongst the nation’s most popular eateries (there are nearly 40 of them), mostly because they offer affordable, well-known dishes instead of luxurious fine-dining specialties. Of course, Jamie won’t be in the kitchen every day, but he will appear at the grand opening – we’re sure that the Budapest restaurant’s success will be easy-peasy!
