The artful professionals of Mod&Co now provide women and men with world-class hairstyling in a nicely designed new salon along downtown Pest’s Hold Street. The interior is just as thoroughly thought out and contemporary in nature as the hairstyles that are created here, and the salon works with the high-end cosmetics of Kevin Murphy, while the staff offers the same top-quality service that gave Mod&Co its impeccable reputation in Budapest over the past four years at its original location.

Thanks to Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest, we can easily find beautiful, stylish photos from all walks of life to inspire us, whether they are about interior design, cooking, fashion, or beauty care. It is also perfectly appropriate to arrive at a hair salon with a specific idea of how we want to look. Mod&Co is one of the major trend-dictating institutions in Hungary; intertwined with the domestic and international fashion industry, they create haircuts and styles that are not only perfect for the catwalk, a photo shoot, or a movie set, but also for everyday life. Most Hungarian hairstylists use the same out-of-date techniques that existed over the past 20 years, and often only deal with cutting instead of complete hairstyling – obviously, these hairdos only look good for a short while. However, the creative team of Mod&Co combines comfort, beauty, style, and professionalism with top-quality standards.

Their hairstylists not only attend foreign training courses and workshops, but also have a weekly training session in the salons. They use Kevin Murphy products, which is an Australian top-caliber brand, distributing animal-cruelty-free products free of parabens, sulfate, and ammonia. The salon works with excellent foreign and Hungarian professionals, and as we found out, the Budapest team of Mod&Co recently finished the brand’s “gold key” training, qualifying their hairstylists as international instructors. The new salon on Hold Street is the territory of Balázs Barsi, but we can check in with three other hairstylists here as well. In the center of the salon is a massive masterpiece of a table made by Miklós Gábor Szőke. It is fair to say that the interior of the Hold Street Mod&Co is not only outstanding on an international level, but also bears the marks of a gallery of community space. In a lot of ways, this impression is absolutely correct: Mod&Co is the meeting place of professionals and guests who are serious about fashion, beauty, and aesthetics.
