Lokalwear has been paying homage to its country of origin, Hungary with introducing its second collection in this spring.

A bit Brazilian, a bit Hungarian, a bit American. A melting point of cultural influences that have lead to theLokalwear brand. They are focused on developing, representing and marketing fashion products that have the unique combination of local design inspiration or craft technique reinterpreted in an up to date, cutting edge manner.

Their firs collection, the Matyo Collection of contemporary jewelry and the Csodaszarvas Good Luck Charm bracelet and necklace was a big success. In collaboration with American surface designer Diane Kappa Lokalwear introduced this capsule collection of 100% organic t-shirts inspired by the Matyo flowers and a re-design of the iconic Kalocsa richelieu lace in 2010.

Now, they are excited to introduce the newest addition to the Lokalwear brand: the Richelieu Collection of fashion jewelry, combining Kalocsa embroidered lace, also called richelieu, and metal. We're sure you will enjoy this hand made collection and join the team in rediscovering yet another tradition.
About the new collection: the Kalocsa embroidered lace – also called richelieu (after cardinal Richelieu), has a strong and rich tradition in Hungary. Originated in the southern town of Kalocsa, the richelieu lace was introduced to local craftswomen in the early 1900s, who adapted it with fervor and a traditional local folk flair. The Kalocsa embroidered lace remains popular in Hungary today.
