Master Wang is not new to introducing Hungarians to authentic Chinese cuisine, with his eateries in Gizella utca or at the Chinese market in District VIII, that always offer quality meals worth trying. Now he has opened his new place, Biang Bistro, in downtown Budapest at Oktogon. Biang’s menu presents Chinese gastronomy in its entirety instead of focusing on specific local cuisine. Beijing-style spicy cabbage, Wonton soup with meatballs, spicy pork belly noodles are just a few picks from the colorful menu, which Master Wang plans to change from time to time. An open kitchen occupies the largest part of the small indoor space (21 people can be seated) with a noodle-making robot. In Biang the tables and the portions are not made for the communal experience of traditional Chinese dining where space allows for easy sharing of the dishes – if you’re looking for that experience you should check out Wang’s other eateries mentioned above.
You may need to wait a little if you come here, as they don’t have table reservation system.
