The most renowned Chinese chef in Budapest, with his own TV show to boot, Master Wang now has several outlets around the city. Wang’s cuisine is Sichuan-style, so spicy and garlicky, and in no way bland. This outlet deep in Kőbánya’s Chinese market in south Pest, is not only quite hard to find but it’s also being reconfigured – expect to see it back in operation by early 2019. To reach it, walk through entrance 25, head towards a chimney, turn right and you’ll find on the left-hand side of the walkway. Once back in action, it’ll be serving up authentic Chinese specialities, including crispy chili shrimps and Sichuan glass noodles.
