Recommended by the Michelin Guide multiple times, the Tigris Restaurant can be found in the city centre, near St Stephen’s Basilica. Its building used to be a luxury hotel, designed by the noted Hungarian architect József Hild, and today is a protected monument. Tigris is also the showcase restaurant for the famed Gere Winery, therefore everything revolves around the wines of the house. The restaurant relies on the traditions of Hungarian cuisine, with special emphasis on foie gras, which is all over the menu. Tigris also sells Gere wines that are otherwise not available in shops.
