Szabó Ervin Könyvtár

At the gateway to the Palace Quarter, the Szabó Ervin Library (Fővárosi Szabó Ervin Könyvtár – FSZEK) also stands close to Kálvin tér in District VIII. Housed in the Neo-Baroque Wenckheim Palace built in 1889, it has been functioning as a library since 1931. As well as an architectural landmark, it’s a popular place for students, professors and academics to spend many a rainy afternoon amid its huge historical halls and in its cosy armchairs.
