If certain buildings could speak, they would tell myriads of stories. The Rácz Bath is one of these buildings: it hasn't even been re-opened following the reconstruction, but it is already featured in international albums. Upon entering, the building opens up in front of you like a book of tales with chapters like the Turkish bath, the Romantic-style sections, light and dark. The legendary Rácz Bath is found in Tabán, the first District of Budapest. The eldest part of the bath is its Turkish dome, once called "small bath". This section has been preserved in excellent condition throughout the centuries, so it could be restored completely to its original form. Unfortunately, only about 30-40% of the Romantic tracery of the Ybl dome and the shower hall remained intact. The bath of stormy history and the adjoining 72-room hotel are expected to finally open in 2016. It will be the most expensive bath, that's for certain, but Budapest will only benefit.
