Two seasoned faces of the street food scene, Dani Balogh and Péter Lázár decided to start a stew revolution. This resulted in Pöriző, an outlet on the row of buffets at the Arany János Street metro station, where they serve pancakes filled with various stews that can be eaten on the go. To be exact, the ingredients of the side dish (egg barley, egg noodles, potatoes) are baked in a pancake batter, and then it’s topped with the juicy meat. An extreme idea, but it works pretty well, and we were very satisfied to bite into the city’s first “fast” stew.
Update: From September Pöriző leaves the buffet and continues on with a food truck.
