Pesti Disznó (Pest Pig) is the first Hungarian bistro that refers to itself as a bite bar. This restaurant in Nagymező Street strives to introduce a new world of forms to Hungarian cuisine, while using traditional Hungarian flavours and ingredients. The bean soup, the stew, the stuffed cabbage, and the sausages are all re-interpreted and served with new flavours in bite-sized portions. The Hungarian selection is of course accompanied by a wide range of Hungarian wines, beer and pálinka. The pricing is somewhat higher than that of butchers’ goods, but the daily lunch menu is budget-friendly.
