Budapest

Located on Lánchíd utca, near the Várkert Bazaar, Marvelosa is a romantic restaurant and café, perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a quick afternoon plate of Hungarian cottage-cheese dumplings. This place is a family business, founded six years ago by grandma Ági and clan, and even the pictures on the walls are painted by a relative. The kitchen specialises in traditional and homely meals. Many guests opt for the first-class meat broth, which you can order with semolina or liver dumplings. They often organise piano evenings as well, when Ági’s favourite French chansons get an airing.
