Madách Imre Square
The history of Madách Imre Square and Street can be traced back more than a hundred years. The company that bought the shares of the Orczy property on the corner of Károly Avenue and Király Street asked for permission in 1928 to raise another building on their property, but did not obtain it until 1937. The building complex of Madách Imre Square is under historic protection, and the buildings of Károly Avenue are also protected. Today, we can find Telep, Központ, My Little Melbourne, Örkény Theatre and Castro here. Not far away is Deák Ferenc Square, where three metro lines meet, and Gozsdu Udvar also has an entrance from here.
