Három Holló Café

Három Holló kávéház

The original Három Holló, located on Andrássy Avenue, near the Hungarian State Opera, was poet Endre Ady’s favorite hangout. Then Eckermann Café opened in its place at the end of the ‘90s – it was a place that had many ties connecting it to the coffeehouse traditions and the literary scene of Budapest. Három Holló in downtown, beside Elizabeth Bridge, is now the spiritual heir of this place.

The different floors of the more than 500 square meters large café all have a different cultural purpose. The ground floor with its huge glass façade, marble tables, cakes, sandwiches, and delicious Italian coffee is a classic coffeehouse for chats and work, while the two floors below the café give home to theatre plays, concerts, and other events.
