In addition to Budapest’s regular public transport options, pass-holders can also take a scenic ride on the Danube on the city’s public ferryboats. BKK Budapest Transport runs four boat lines (D2, D11, D12 & D14), allowing your journey to double up as an affordable sightseeing tour on the river. A single ticket costs 750 forints, while children under six and seniors over 65 travel free. Bicycles are also allowed on board. On weekdays, anyone with any BKK pass can ride for no extra charge. For the exact route and timetable information, check the official BKK website.
