Arany Tacskó bistro

For those who revered the Zsiga bár now no longer with us, the Arany Tacskó is similarly located in District VIII. Same owners, same atmosphere: juxtaposed pictures, old rugs and modern furniture, home-made flavours, jars on the shelves with jam and pickles, attentive service. It all feels lovely and original, and if you happen to arrive with a dachshund (the eatery is called ‘Golden Dachshund’), you get a discount. Lunch specials change every day, but you’ll find some dishes that are always on the menu. You should definitely try the Hungarian favourite, túrógombóc, dumplings with sweet cottage cheese.
