Budapest

If you’re looking for a cosy Italian eatery, Al Dente near Mikszáth Kálmán tér is an ideal choice. This tiny bistro owned by Hungarian-Italian couple Anna and Marco has Italian waiters and a chef from Bari, Uccio, who used to cook for Silvio Berlusconi himself. Quality ingredients and authenticity are a given. The menu changes every three months, but if you happen to spot salmon fusilli with vodka on the list, give it a try: it’s delicious. Besides pasta and Neapolitan pizza, they serve a wide variety of meat dishes with chicken, veal and beef.
