Mei Kawa

Emese Kasza's brand offers refined pieces that are full of character. Originally, the brand targeted men who prefer practical, urban clothing, but recently it has deliberately shifted focus towards a unisex trend, in which the straight cut, long shirts double as a tunics. The classic coats and the comfy jumpers can find a place in both men's and women's wardrobes. The geometric style is often reminiscent of uniforms, which is only emphasised by the accentuated, sometimes contrasting patch pockets and the neutral colours (black, cool blues and blunt earth tones). The winter collection Roles plays with blurring the differences between genders and ages. The campaign photos are courtesy of photographer Péter Puklus, who also acted as a model together with his mum, showing that Mei Kawa fits everyone with this style.

ZAKO

Fine art inspirations, and freely applied spectacular patterns characterise the brand of Mihály Domokos and Éva Hidvégi. Their collections operate with cuts evolving from simple bases, so the 'urban camouflage' prints are even more prominent. The prints on this year's spring collection were inspired by mediaeval chain textures. These appear as magnified graphic art print on the black and white toned T-shirts and hoodies. The designs make you want to touch the tees. The Zako pieces are thrilling and bold, but leave room for the personality of the wearer.

Sándor Lakatos is one of the most exciting Hungarian fashion designers, who reimagines the basic pieces of a classic men's wardrobe year to year. His finely cut, elegant pieces are at the same time extravagant and playful. His freshest winter collection that very recently premièred in Paris is yet again a reinterpretation of traditional men's fashion. The essential pieces (the trousers and the suit) are designed with new patterns, cuts and off-the-wall 3D shapes. The collection also includes bold jumpsuits, coats, jumpers and various accessories, all done in artistic design and first class manufacturing. The collection comes with a similarly uniform and unique style, thanks to photographer-cinematographer Tamás Dobos and dancer-pantomime artist András M. Kecskés. A strong and intelligent collection for men.
