On World Art Nouveau Day, many institutions from all over the world join a series of events that showcase this unique movement from the last turn of the century.
This year, the theme, proposed by Réseau Art Nouveau Network, an international organisation for the popularisation of the genre, is "My Favourite Art Nouveau Architect". The special event of the series is an international exhibition of Art Nouveau around the region.
The exhibition “Waves of Art Nouveau – Architecture in the Danube Region” can be visited free of charge at FUGA in Budapest from May 30th to June 18th. Weekend events, Art Nouveau city walks, guided tours of the exhibition and family sessions will be organised for the public on June 9th and 10th.
