Vinicio Capossel
a first emerged with his 1990 début album All'una e trentacinque circa. His style combining traditions from southern Italy, gypsy music and tango caused just as much of a sensation as his profoundly personal poetry did. With nine more albums released since then, he has soared high above the boundaries of genre, incorporating country music, rumba and Greek Rebetiko just as comfortably as he does arrangements of classics by Adriano Celentano and Gianni Morandi.
