The seventh event of
Trafó Electrify
will feature the robust volcanic music of
Ben Frost
, currently residing in Iceland, and the drastic-futuristic tunes of British
Vessel
.
Trading his home under the hot
Australian
sun for icy
Iceland
,
Ben Frost
has visited Hungary twice in the past few years - as a solo act and with the Krakow Symphony Orchestra - and he now returns to present his robust new album
Aurora
, released in 2014 and rated top-notch on the end-of-year top lists of several music magazines.

The versatile musician has worked with the likes of
Tim Hecker
, also featured at Trafó Electrify,
Colin Stetson, SWANS
and
Brian Eno
. He’s provided ethereal soundtracks for many feature films and art projects, including Julia Leigh’s Sleeping Beauty and the audiovisual installation The Enclave by Richard Mosse. His monumental music blends a film-like visual world with experimental sound art through the minimalist tools of post-classical electronic music into a brutally massive yet lightly melodic, concentrated whole.
