For the opening concert of the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra on 25 September, the image of three women emerge through the music of one of Hungary’s most renowned composers, Béla Bartók, performed by Hungarian mezzo-soprano, Ildikó Komlósi.

In the first session, you can take a peek into one of the composer’s early, idealistic loves, which soon turned sour. The music follows this shift and creates a beautiful contrast in the performance.  The second part of the event is a composition for his second wife, while the finale exhibits one of Bartók’s most famous compositions, Bluebeard's Castle, written during his first marriage.
