Kelly Cannon
, who is a Fulbright Fellow researching early 20th century Hungarian photographers. She used to work for the Thomas Walther Collection, contributing to the development of a digital research platform for the exploration of modern photography, published by the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
Her talk titled “
After Digitization: Using Digital Humanities to Explore Art History
” will address the digital humanities as an emerging method for art historical research. How can digital tools enhance the success rate of traditional research methods? How can they be the most useful to museums, universities, and archives, along with their audiences? How can digital tools similarly be applied to the study of contemporary art?
