The upcoming exhibition, Private Reality, showcases a selection of
Mátyás Boros
’ prints and paper installations.

Matyás’ works are composed by a compilation of trivial objects, collected photographs and encyclopedia images. He connects the collected images with personal gestures, thoughts or statements that create a new meaning, new reality. Each image is transformed into another context, abandoning its earlier environment and opening our eyes to a new feeling or a new reality that we all interpret individually.

His works are a personal dialogue between fragments of our imagination and real surroundings - in his words:

“Small details, complexity are what matter to me - not only for semiotic reasons - because of the techniques I apply. I am always searching for new ways of expressing myself in graphic art and hand-drawn methods. I often combine traditional print-making and analogue methods with digital technology. This leads to a 'borderline' phenomenon, a characterizing component of my body of work.”
