Manuel F. Contreras and Margit Koller are doctoral students at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. In the course of their studies, they have discovered common traits in their respective outputs, and even though Contreras works with documentaries and Koller creates installations, they succeeded in combining their approaches. This exhibition at 2B Gallery is the result of their collaboration. Both artist deals with the question of individual’s vulnerability to history and the survival strategies of people when confronted by an oppressive power through the dilemma of a crucial decision: to stay or to leave?
